Your CareerPrisma Access™ (formally GlobalProtect Cloud Service) provides protection straight from the cloud to make access to the cloud secure.

It combines the connectivity and security you need - and delivers it everywhere you need it. Using cutting-edge public and private cloud technologies extending the next-generation security protection to all cloud services, customers on-premise remote networks and mobile users.

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver next-generation technologies within our Prisma Access team.

Your Impact

  • Design, develop and implement highly scalable software features
  • Participate in architecture, design and development App Security features
  • Research and implement different frameworks suited to the solution
  • Work with different development and quality assurances groups to achieve the best quality
  • Suggest and implement improvements to the development processes
  • Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in system software development
  • Extensive hands-on programming skills in Python, Go, Java / JavaScript
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, Kubernetes and their technologies (Lambda functions, SNS / SQS etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of databases SQL, NoSQL, Time series, GraphDB etc.
  • Experience building RESTful API services
  • Strong leadership skills with a can-do attitude
  • High energy and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
  • Understanding of networking and security protocols like HTTP, TLS / SSL etc.
  • Good grasp of asynchronous programming, multithreading and multiprocessing
  • Able to troubleshoot system-level integration and performance issues
  • MS / BS in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience required

The Team

Our engineering team is at the core of the Prisma Access service. Engineers on our team work on all aspects of the management and control plane of the service.

This includes, Activation, Onboarding, Configuration, Orchestration, Data, APIs and much more. We need individuals who feel comfortable in ambiguity, excited by the prospect of a challenge, and empowered by the unknown risks facing our everyday lives that are only enabled by a secure digital environment.

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales / commissioned roles) is expected to be between $147000 - $237500 / YR.

The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.
