1.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the AeroGuard Flight Training Center Academics Department. Specific responsibilities may include :
- Oversee all aspects of Ground School, PACE and the Learning Center
- Develop and implement key strategies to increase standardization, quality, and productivity of the Academics Department
- Assure each class is staffed by an appropriate qualified instructor who meets both FAA and / or HKCAD and AeroGuard standards
- Lead the development and revision of course content and courseware with the Chief Ground Instructor and Chief Flight Instructor
- Lead the development and maintenance of curriculum and testing standards with the Chief Ground Instructor and Chief Flight Instructor
- Other duties as assigned
2.1 EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Current CFI / CFII / MEI or AGI / IGI Certificate preferred
2.2 EXPERIENCE
- Practical leadership experience
- Practical operational knowledge of flight school operations preferred
2.3 SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in MS Office and Windows
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Will be working primarily inside and outside the facility
- Will have limited exposure to aircraft simulators and equipment
- May have some lifting up to 50 pounds
- May require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending and / or stooping
- General office equipment such as copier and personal computer
- Extreme attention to detail
- Self-starter, does not wait for others to provide work, finds ways to keep busy or help others
- Works with minimal supervision
- Innovative / creative, finds faster ways to do things to save time to the organization
- Flexible / adaptable to fast changing pace and instructions
