Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
Our east-side client seeks a team-oriented AR Specialist to join their accounting department! This is a contract-to-hire opportunity that would be a great fit for someone looking to be part of a stable company that has a close-knit, family-owned business feel.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist
- Maintain the accounts receivable ledger ensuring accuracy.
- Monitor accounts for timely payments and pending collections.
- Process cash deposits / receipts and customer payments.
- Prepare invoices, credit memos, and account reconciliations.
- Research and resolve failed payments and customer inquiries / billing disputes via phone and email.
- Deliver checks and deposits to the bank and post office.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License required.
- 1+ years of accounts receivable experience and working knowledge of GAAP.
- Exposure to ageing and / or collections (B2B) a plus.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deadline-driven with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary : $23-$24 / hr. (DOE)
