St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport has an excellent opportunity for an Operating Room Nurse at its 473-bed community teaching hospital.
This role involves providing direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patients and identifying their needs for individualized care
- Preparing the operating room for surgery and ensuring sterility
- Communicating with patients, teammates, and physicians for continuity of care
- Monitoring patient's vital signs during surgery
Required Credentials
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Certified BLS Provider
- 2 years' experience as an Operating Room Nurse
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
Education
Associate degree required, BSN preferred
