Be part of our local medical community! Immediate need for a Patient Account Rep to work at local clinic in Rockford. Responsible for medical billing, including remittance and collections.
Hours : 8am to 4 : 30pm, Mon-Fri
Pay : $15.58 / hour but can go up based on previous experience and longevity at previous employers.
Patient Account Rep Responsibilities :
- Accurately enter payments, adjustments, patient demographics and insurance information
- Collect data for routine reporting and publication of Accounts Receivable
- Manage Accounts Receivable and collection percentages
- Accomplish projects as a team member or individual as assigned
- Perform other duties as may be assigned
Patient Account Rep Requirements :
- Ability to follow-through, assume responsibility and use good judgment
- Maintain professional demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work professionally with patients, their families and friends, and fellow employees
- Good oral and written communication
- Strong computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Scheduler)
- CPT and ICD9 terminology
- HIPAA, Medicare / FQHC, Medicaid / FQHC experience
- Knowledge of medical billing systems : patient / insurance financial management
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work with minimum / no supervision
Education :
- Verifiable High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years in general / medical office administration, or a combination of experience and training that would be equivalent
