We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Employment Specialist to join a local RI Company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting individuals in achieving personal and vocational goals and will be skilled in building professional relationships with clients, partner agencies, and local businesses.

This role requires a mix of organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to provide client-centered support effectively.

Responsibilities of the Employment Specialist :

Assist clients in achieving personal and vocational outcomes by providing tailored support and guidance.

Establish and maintain professional, cooperative relationships with clients, partner agencies, and local businesses.

Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms, including narrative report writing.

Utilize basic math and computer skills to manage documentation and client information.

Work collaboratively as a team member, contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

Maintain accurate documentation and organizational records.

Make sound decisions independently when an immediate supervisor is not available.

Adapt to flexible work hours and changing conditions as needed.

Demonstrate respect and appreciation for diverse cultures and backgrounds, with particular experience working with low-income urban families.

Qualifications of the Employment Specialist :

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (minimum of 3 years).

Bilingual in French is preferred.

Valid driver’s license is required.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and sustain professional relationships.

Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience in making decisions in the absence of supervision.

Respectful and culturally sensitive approach to client interactions.

Salary : $20-23 per hour
