Employment Type : 6-Month Contract to Hire, Full-Time (40 hours / week)
Overview :
We are partnering with a client in Nashville, Tennessee, who is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their security team.
This position will focus on securing their Azure environment, implementing new security tools and processes, and conducting audits of existing operations.
The ideal candidate will have a robust IT background, having transitioned into cybersecurity, with experience working in medium-sized environments
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement new security tools and processes (40% of the role).
- Conduct security assessments and audits of existing operations (60% of the role).
- Secure Azure environment, including experience with Defender for Cloud, securing web applications, and implementing network security groups.
- Collaborate with the IT and security teams to improve security posture.
Qualifications :
- Experience in cybersecurity with a strong IT background (network or systems administration experience is highly desirable).
- Expertise in securing Azure environments.
- Hands-on experience with Defender for Cloud and network security groups.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
- Experience in medium-sized environments preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus, but not required.
