Mission
The Bar Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for managing bar inventory, supply & standards as well as the bar team.
With oversight from the General Manager and Beverage Director, the Bar Manager oversees all day to day beverage functions & operations including marketing initiatives, staff scheduling, training and execution, cost control and driving top line revenue as continual focus.
Additionally, the Bar Manager actively participates in managing the daily operations of the venue as a whole.

Drive service standards for Bar Department
Accuracy and consistency encompassing all things beverage
Trainings for both new and current staff
Overall responsibility and awareness of beverage cost
Ensure steps of service are being met and executed by all bar staff
Communicate menu changes, updates, and specials to bar staff as well as management
Day to Day Beverage Management
Responsibility of liquor room; all items going in and out, protection, as well as organization
Assisting staff in constant growth and learning by company standards
Overall responsibility and awareness of beverage cost, comp, voids, spills on a nightly basis
Communicate any staffing changes needed or unexpected staffing changes to management team
Correspond any 86’d items to management
Cleanliness and organization of bar and liquor room
Make sure that opening and closing duties are being completed
Schedules for Bartenders and Barbacks
Ensure brand standards are maintained
Ensure correct product is being used as specified by Beverage Director and on menu
Relay any changes on menu to management and staff
Proper back bar and well placement of spirits
Oversee preparation of cocktails, making sure the right measurements and ingredients are being used.
Help push staff incentive programs
Manage Inventory and Labor
Overall responsibility and awareness of beverage cost
Perform monthly inventory
Inventory organization
Ordering and receiving process
Ensure safekeeping of invoices
Staff scheduling
Awareness of breaks and overtime
Qualifications
3 -5 years in a management or supervisory role preferably in a full service restaurant
Previous work in the hospitality industry; have a passion for service and understand what is needed to provide a high level of hospitality
Strong knowledge in cocktails, spirits and wine
Can lead and deliver a high performance team environment
Organized and detail-oriented & strong interpersonal and communication skills
Basic computer skills required.
Capable of working overtime, weekends, evenings, and special events as needed.
Knowledge of the industry and relevant health and safety regulations. Current manager handler card preferred
Leadership skills and ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure.
Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and frequently lift and bend from the waist.
Must be able to stand for long periods.
This position requires frequent use of hands and arms in repetitive motions.
Regularly required to handle alcoholic beverages.
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
