Job Summary

The Communication Bridge Research Program at the Healthy Aging & Alzheimer's Research Care (HAARC) Center, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our groundbreaking intervention study.

This position will play a pivotal role in screening, delivering the core speech-language therapy (SLT) component of the Communication Bridge intervention, or in assessing outcomes for our new randomized controlled trial (RCT) launching in 2024.

The Communication Bridge intervention aims to maximize communication participation and quality of life for people with PPA and their partners.

This unique opportunity invites applicants interested in advancing their knowledge of interventions for individuals with neurodegenerative diseases and delivering interventions to this population through a clinical trial.

The successful candidate will play a principal role in screening, delivering the interventions to participants enrolled into the PPA Clinical Trial, or assessing outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance with the designated protocol.

This is a full-time benefit eligible position.

Additional interactions (e.g., community outreach and education) related to the research project may also be involved depending on the qualifications of the applicant.

Additional responsibilities may include the organization and analysis of data, mentoring of other team members and trainees, establishing interactions with extramural collaborators and other research-related activities.

Flexible schedule may be required to meet the intervention session requirements.

As part of the HAARC Center, you'll be immersed in a collaborative and dynamic research environment dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families facing PPA.
