ECS-580 - Developmentally Appropriate Instruction : ELA, Social Studies, and Arts
ECS-585 - Developmentally Appropriate Instruction : STEM Subjects
ECS-590 - Assessment, Evaluation, and Reporting for Early Childhood / Special Education
ECS-598 - Student Teaching Experiences : Early Childhood & Early Childhood Special Ed
Responsibilities :
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession.
Other main responsibilities include the following :
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Qualifications :
Preferred Doctorate Ed. Leadership, Curr. And Inst., Inst. Leadership, Early Childhood Ed., Early Childhood Special Ed.
Special Ed., or related field.
- Alternatively, a master’s degree in one of these fields AND two areas of exceptional expertise.
- All instructors must have a valid state teaching certification or endorsement in Early Childhood Ed., Early Childhood Special Ed.
or Special Ed. AND five years of teaching experience in a birth-K3 inclusion or special education setting.
