LOCATION : American Games (504 34th Avenue Council Bluffs, IA)

SCHEDULE : Monday-Friday (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM)

PAY RANGE : Category 3

What You'll Do

This full-time, permanent position in a manufacturing environment plays a critical role in the production of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets (break-open tickets) and bingo paper.

This role is essential to the production of charitable and lottery gaming products, including pull-tab tickets, bingo paper, and vending equipment. The Machine Assembler will primarily focus on the mechanical assembly of pull-tab and instant ticket vending machines, as well as Accucounters.

The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined individual with hands-on experience in machine or component assembly, capable of reading and interpreting technical drawings and working safely with hand and power tools. The candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, punctual and comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing setting. The Machine Assembler thrives in a team-driven environment and takes pride in building high-quality machines that support the gaming industry. Adaptability, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow are key to succeeding in this role.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include :

  • Assemble wiring harnesses : cut, strip, bundle wire, attach fasteners, and perform soldering as needed.
  • Construct machine subassemblies and vending modules by accurately orienting and fastening components.
  • Integrate subassemblies into complete machines, ensuring correct alignment and secure connections.
  • Perform quality control inspections and functional testing on finished machines, including sample vends.
  • Troubleshoot non-functioning assemblies and subassemblies to identify and resolve mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering diagrams, wiring schematics, and assembly manuals.
  • Align, calibrate, and adjust machinery and components for optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct final testing and inspections to confirm conformance with customer specifications and tolerance levels.
  • Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized assembly equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company procedures and OSHA standards.
  • Accurately complete production and quality documentation and records.
  • Collaborate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and fellow team members to ensure assembly issues are resolved promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational goals.

What You'll Need

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of mechanical assembly or relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Solid understanding of basic math and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse and inclusive team.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder (sponsorship is not available).
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
