We are seeking a part time or full time registered nurse (RN) or licensed vocational nurse (LVN) to join our pediatric office team! You will be responsible for phone triage, face to face triage, available for on the floor pt care, assisting providers, prior authorization for medications, referrals, etc.
Responsibilities :
- Administer nursing care to ill or injured pediatric patients in an office setting
- Triage patients by phone and in person
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in pediatric nursing
- Familiarity with Barton Schmitt protocol, medical equipment & software
- Ability to build rapport with patients, staff, & providers
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, motivated, ready to begin every day with a smile
- Local to the area, preferably within 25 miles of clinic location
- Phone etiquette, patience and understanding
