As a CNC Field Service Technician you will : Carefully disassemble machines, ensuring all parts are securely packed and labeled for safe transportation.
This includes draining fluids, disconnecting electrical components, and protecting sensitive partsPrecisely level and align machines to ensure optimal performance.
This involves using precision tools to measure and adjust the machine’s position and alignment according to manufacturer specificationsDiagnose, Torubleshoot, and resolve identify root cause of mechanical, electrical, or software problems to restore functionalityDisassemble, repair and rebuild machine tool sub assemblies and assemblies.
Systematically organize and label all machine parts during disassembly to ensure they can be easily identified and reassembled later.
Inspect machine parts for damage or wear and determine the best course of action.Conduct initial power-up of machines after assembly or repair checking all systems, running diagnostic tests, and troubleshooting any issues that arise to ensure the machine operates correctly.
Adjust and fine-tune servo systems to achieve optimal performance.Calibrating the system to ensure precise control and movement of machine partsReport activities and expenses timely and accuratelyResponsible for training other employees for advancement.
Train customers on operation of CNC control systems.Advanced troubleshooting and repair electronic circuitry.Maintain clear and professional communication with all customers, vendors, and company personnel.
Keep work area neat, clean and organized.Travel to customer’s facilities often and on short notice.Work with very limited supervision.
Other duties as assignedThis is a Full-Time, Direct Hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have : Advanced CNC Machine Tool knowledge and terminologyMinimum of 3 years of experience in machine tool field service.
Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering or related field of study experience may be substituted for the education.Must be mechanically enclined with extensive knowledge of systems and components.
Full understanding of multiple machine tool specifications and have an advanced knowledge of test equipment.Must have own tools ready to use.
Intermediate knowledge of parametric programming and ladder logicWorking knowledge of applications processes and programming.
Must have dependable transportation, will be required to work different locations.Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Frequent reaching, bending, and stoopingSet up and operate Renishaw Ballbar and Renishaw Laser Calibration equipment (desirable, not mandatory).
Ability to do final scrape and or fitting of most machine tool components is desirable (not mandatory).Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Schedule : 1st shift Monday to Friday (Must be open to weekends and emergency calls) Pay Rate : $62,400-$93,600 annually + overtime *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
