Army Data Analyst (remote)

Spider Strategies is seeking a talented and experienced Army Data Analyst to join our team supporting Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA).

This position is for a Data Analyst who will provide critical support to HQDA by analyzing complex data sets, developing insights, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with military or defense data is highly advantageous for this role.

This is a full-time remote position.

As an Army Data Analyst, you will be responsible for cleaning, manipulating, and visualizing data to support decision-making processes within HQDA.

You'll work with various data analysis tools and programming languages to extract meaningful insights from complex data sets.

Your role will involve collaborating with other data professionals and military personnel to understand data needs and provide effective solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with relevant data analysis tools and programming languages, and a solid understanding of statistical methods and data modeling.

Familiarity with Army-specific data systems and DoD data policies would be a significant advantage.

Requirements

• Experience : A minimum of three years of professional experience in data analysis roles. Experience working with military or defense data is advantageous.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Database Knowledge : Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Statistical Knowledge : Understanding of statistical methods, data modeling, and predictive analytics. Knowledge of statistical software like SPSS or SAS is beneficial.
• Army-Specific Knowledge : Familiarity with Army-specific data systems and platforms, as well as understanding of DoD data policies and procedures, is highly advantageous.
• Analytical Skills : Strong ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets, with high attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Problem-Solving : Excellent problem-solving skills to address data-related challenges and develop solutions.
• Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively with other data professionals, military personnel, and stakeholders.
• Education : A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications : While not required, certifications such as Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Microsoft Certified : Data Analyst Associate, or CompTIA Security+ are beneficial.

• Ensure compliance with DoD data policies and procedures in all data-related activities.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement data-driven solutions for HQDA.
