Our client, a highly innovative company in the luxury retail space, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll be a critical part of the accounting operations—handling everything from monthly close and journal entries to preparing financial reports and partnering cross-functionally on new initiatives. You'll dive into reconciliations, support budget planning, manage commissions / bonuses, and help ensure compliance with GAAP and tax requirements.
Responsibilities of this position will include :
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Reconcile bank, credit card, inventory, and fixed asset accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, amortizations, and adjustments
- Manage sales commission and bonus payouts
- Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance
- Collaborate with AP, FP& A, and other departments to drive process efficiency
- Produce insightful variance analysis and department-level financials
