Summary
The District Technology Support Technician will work in conjunction with Technology Director to deploy, support, and maintain technology and software for district personnel and students.

The Technology Support Technician duties include those listed below as well as other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Technology Director.
Qualifications
Knowledge of and experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer technologies including, but not limited to, peripherals, network computers and printers, projectors with interactive boards, Cat 5 / 6 cabling, and all district supported software. Richmond R-XVI School District is a Windows based environment. Knowledge of and experience with Windows 7 / 8 / 10 and Microsoft Office is required.
Skills and Abilities
Communication
The person who holds this position must have the ability to communicate with district personnel to resolve issues in an efficient and effective manner.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs., climb a step ladder, operate drill and other hand tools.
Conditions and Environment
The work environment is consistent with typical school classroom environment; however, the individual who holds this position will occasionally be required to be outside in temperatures below freezing and above 100 degrees.
The individual who holds this position must have reliable transportation to drive to buildings throughout the district to troubleshoot technology issues.
Richmond is located approximately 45 miles northeast of Downtown Kansas City, MO with just under 6,000 residents and a PreK-12 population of approximately 1600.
