Investment Operations Analyst - Family Office
We are seeking an Investment Operations Analyst to join our Family Office. The Investment Operations Analyst will be responsible for coordinating, tracking, and completing operational workflows and administrative responsibilities for the family’s investment portfolio.
The Analyst will be heavily focused on managing the private investment operational processes for the Family Office.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Coordinate, track and complete the operational workflows and processes for private investments, including communication with investment managers regarding operations-related tasks and workflows, completing subscription documents, funding capital calls, and confirming distributions are received in a timely manner
- Update and maintain investment activity in family’s portfolio reporting software (capital calls, distributions, and valuations received from investment managers)
- Manage cost basis of various stock distributions from private investments in family’s portfolio reporting software
- Process ongoing tax, legal, banking, and other requests from private investment managers such as KYC & AML requirements
- Resolve operational and administrative issues with investment managers (e.g. changing wire distribution instructions, change of mailing address, etc.)
- Process ad-hoc administrative tasks, documentation, etc. required related to investment operations
- Participate in the onboarding and implementation of new technology
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of investment operations experience, with prior private investment operational exposure preferred but not required
- Prior experience with Masttro, Addepar, Arch, or Wealthscape a plus
- Bachelor’s degree
- Emotionally intelligent, interpersonal, polished and well-rounded with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner
- A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams
- Exceptional skills in leadership, time management, facilitation, and organization
- A demonstrated record of resilience, adaptability and clear bias for action
- A desire and ability to work in a consensus driven environment that requires a higher level than normal cross function communication
- A demonstrated ability to comfortably shift gears’ and re-prioritize rapidly and often to meet deadlines
- Desire to operate in a demanding, entrepreneurial and fast paced work environment
