Experience : 2 years of experience in specialty required; travel experience mandatory.
Certifications Required :
- ACLS
- Intermediate or above Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
Unit Details :
- 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, and 2 ORs
- OB Emergency Room with 6 triage beds
- Average 150-200 births per month
- Uses AWHONN ratios
- FHM System : OB Trace
- EMR : Meditech 6.1
Support & Staffing :
- Charge Nurse typically outside staffing grid
- OB Techs serve as OR Techs
- 24 / 7 Neonatologist and OB Hospitalist in-house
- RT and Pharmacy available 24 / 7
Additional Information :
- Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend
- Holiday Rotation : Integrated with permanent staff
- Scrub Color : Provided by the hospital
- Floating : To post-partum as needed
- No Telemetry or Ventilator management required
- IV Team : Not available
Common Diagnoses / Patient Types :
High-risk OB to routine OB, including antepartum patients needing extended stays. OR techs handle C-sections, cerclages, and tubals.
Baby-friendly hospital with in-house lactation support.
