The Service Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing plumbing systems and fixtures in residential and commercial properties.

This role involves interacting with clients to assess their plumbing needs, providing solutions, and ensuring that all work is completed to code and with high standards of craftsmanship.

We require our service plumbers to work evenings and weekends for the on-call rotation one week every 4-5 weeks with the opportunity for overtime.

Key Responsibilities :

Diagnose Plumbing Issues :

• Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing systems to identify problems such as leaks, clogs, and faulty components.
• Use diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately determine the cause of plumbing issues.

Repair and Maintenance :

• Perform repairs on various plumbing systems, including pipes and fixtures.
• Clear drains and check for leaks.

Installation :

• Install new plumbing systems and fixtures, including sinks, toilets, water heaters, and pipes.
• Ensure installations comply with local building codes and safety regulations.

Customer Service :

• Communicate with clients to understand their plumbing needs and provide professional recommendations.
• Explain the scope of work, repair options, and costs to clients in a clear and understandable manner.

Documentation :

• Complete detailed reports on the work performed, including repairs, installations, and any follow-up actions required.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls, materials used, and time spent on each job.

Safety and Compliance :

• Adhere to safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and codes to ensure all work meets legal and safety standards.

Tools and Equipment :

• Operate and maintain plumbing tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and properly stored after use.

Emergency Services :

Provide emergency plumbing services as needed, including responding to urgent repair requests outside of regular business hours.

Our current on-call rotation is for one week every 4-5 weeks with the opportunity for overtime.

Vehicle Use and Maintenance :

• Use the company-provided vehicle to travel to job sites, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
• Maintain the vehicle in good condition, performing routine checks and reporting any issues to the company.
• Ensure that the vehicle is stocked with necessary tools, equipment, and supplies for daily operations.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment, and knowledge of plumbing systems and components.
• Strong diagnostic skills to identify and resolve plumbing issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients professionally and courteously.
• Ability to perform precise work and ensure all installations and repairs are done correctly.
• Capability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.
• Valid plumbing license and any required certifications specific to the region or specialty.
• Previous experience as a plumber or in a related field is required.
• Clean driving record with a valid driver's license.

Work Environment :

• Primarily works on-site at residential and commercial properties.
• Regular business hours, with evenings or weekends during the on-call rotation depending on emergency service requirements.
• May involve working in various environments, including crawl spaces, basements, roofs, and outdoors.
