Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Software Engineer (Core Deposit) (multiple positions) in Tempe, AZ.

Essential Responsibilities :

• Prioritize software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.
• Design, develop, test, operate, and maintain software products for the Bank’s Core Deposit Functionality for both the retail and commercial banking organizations.
• Take full stack lead by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
• Create optimal design adhering to architectural best practices.
• Consider scalability, reliability, and performance of software systems / contexts affected when defining technical designs.
• Conduct code reviews to provide guidance on engineering best practices and compliance with development procedures.
• Ensure all aspects of product development follow compliance and security best practices.

Basic Qualifications :

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a Software Developer, or a related occupation.

Required Skills / Experience :

While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.

Must include 1 year of experience with each of the following : 1) Creating project proposals and designs that impact multiple systems 2) Creating technical designs that consider dependencies, failure states, maintainability, testability, and technical support;

3) Agile software development lifecycle 4) DevOps principles; and 5) Assembler, Azure, CICS, COBOL, DB2, IMS JCL, JIRA, Oracle SQL, Python, Spark, and VSAM.

Teams may work from home and the office. Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range : $105,976.00 - $140,100.
