Job Summary : This position delivers ice to customers in straight trucks that require a class A or B CDL license. Drivers are either assigned a delivery route or transport truckloads of ice to specific customer locations.
The delivery region, route, and type of equipment operated is subject to change depending on business needs.This is a full-time, permanent position with Reddy Ice that includes a competitive hourly wage, a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a company-matching 401(k) plan.
Health and Wellness benefits available on your first day of employment.ResponsibilitiesEducation & Experience Required : Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalentMust have a current / valid class A CDL licenseMust possess driving record that meets or exceeds company-qualifying standardsA minimum of one (1) year experience as a driver in a vehicle similar to which you will be assigned to operate during the time of employment with the company is requiredEducation & Experience Preferred : Three years previous route delivery driver or DSD experienceWorking Conditions / Physical RequirementsMust be able to drive in stressful environments.
Unloads, loads, and rotates product in merchandisers / iceboxes. Required to lift 40 lbs. throughout the day. Required to work in all weather conditions.
Weekend, night, and holiday work is a requirement of the position. Will perform work in retail stores; frequently driving between retail stores and plant location.
