Precision MIG / TIG Fabrication Welder

About the Role

Picture starting your day by reviewing a new set of prints, gathering pre-cut components, and setting up your welding station. You dial in the weld parameters, check your fixtures, and lay down clean beads to assemble both standardized and custom weldments. Throughout the day, you move between MIG and TIG processes, verify fit-up and quality against procedures, and support teammates as projects evolve.

What You’ll Do

• Operate electric-arc welding equipment to produce repetitive and custom assemblies using MIG and TIG processes.
• Interpret samples, engineering drawings, sketches, and work instructions to plan and execute each job.
• Help design, build, and refine weld fixtures to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication.
• Inspect work to documented standards; comply with all quality system requirements, with work subject to secondary approval / sign-off.
• Set machines and adjust parameters (heats, wires, electrodes, etc.) to meet production rates and quality targets.
• Collaborate with Leads / Supervision and assist fellow welders on multi-person builds.
• Troubleshoot welding equipment and related tooling as needed.
• Promote a safe workplace by following company safety policies and best practices.
• Consistently achieve routed cycle times or as otherwise specified.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and submit daily task / production reports.
• Maintain 5S standards—keep your station clean during work and at job completion.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Physical & Work Environment

You’ll frequently stand, walk, sit, and work with hands to handle tools and components. Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs is part of the job. You should be able to hear and communicate effectively. Visual requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Expect periodic exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles in a typically moderate-noise environment. You must be physically capable of wearing a welder’s shield and a respirator when needed.
