Pillen Family Farms is a family owned business located in Nebraska. We market approximately 2 million pigs annually. Job Description :

  • This is a welding & maintenance position is involved in many aspects of maintaining our penning systems, feed systems, water systems, ventilations system and concrete slat flooring in good repair.
  • Position will require welding repairs to penning systems, repairs to feed systems, repairs / replacement of ventilation curtain systems, repairs to concrete slats
  • Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Stick or MIG welding to penning components, feeders, etc

  • Repairs of feed systems, including feeders, feedlines and feed bins
  • Curtain machine repair / replacement
  • Repair / Replacement to concrete slat flooring.
  • Repairs / Replacement of water system components

    • Requirements :

  • Welding skills - primarily stick & MIG with some TIG
  • Ability to safely operate power tools, including saws, drills, grinders, etc
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
  • Continuous walking and standing; a minimum of 8 hours per day.
  • Frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Comply with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
