Tailored Adhesives (aka Tailored Chemical Products), a family owned and operated multi-plant company is seeking a Plant Operations Manager for our Plant 2 packaging and bottling facility. Description :

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible for the manufacturing operations of our consumer packaging division. This includes the management and coordination of daily activities to ensure high performance and production. The Operations Manager is responsible for serving the customer by creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and highly productive plant, while making the most efficient and cost-conscious use of equipment, materials, and employees to product high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities :

Direct and coordinate plant operations ensuring that objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. Provide leadership and development to achieve company goals and objectives

  • Evaluate, trouble shoot and improve on plant systems and processes
  • Monitor plant performance and lead corrective action teams
  • Responsible for all manufacturing costs and achieving budgeted expenses
  • Recruit, train, and onboard new employees
  • Provide direction, development, training, and leadership to direct reports, including Production Supervisors and Mainenance
  • Oversee work schedules to ensure coverage
  • Holding direct reports accountable for deliverables
  • Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste
  • Analyze data and create reports to present to executives regarding processes
  • Maintain safe, reliable plant facilities and equipment
  • Maintain effective communication with other departments
  • Ensure that all plant safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Assist in defining the annual Capital and Operating budgets
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry best practice and concepts
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications :

2+ years’ experience managing / supervising in a manufacturing environment

Bachelor’s Degree (or exceptional work history considered)

  • Knowledge of manufacturing regulations and standards (ISO experience a plus)
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability to deliver results in a deadline driven environment
  • Problem Solving / Analysis
