Role Overview :

We are seeking a Project Finance Associate with 4+ years of experience to join the Energy Project Development and Finance practice at our client's Boston or Washington, DC offices.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in US project development and finance, specifically with distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Proficiency in handling principal financing documentation and key commercial project documentation is essential.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal support for the energy project development and finance practice.
  • Manage US project development and finance activities for distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Oversee principal financing documentation, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, security and pledge agreements, and depositary agreements.
  • Handle key commercial project documentation, including development agreements, PPAs, EPCs, site control, and interconnection agreements, as well as related due diligence.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, working from the office approximately 60% of the time, in accordance with the firm's published guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission in MA, DC, NY, or CA.
  • At least four years of project finance experience at a law firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professionalism in working and engaging with demanding clients.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.

Location :

  • Preferred office locations : Boston and Washington, DC.
  • The firm encourages working from the office approximately 60% of the time, following published guidelines.
