54100 PHARMACYClinical Specialist PharmacistPosition Summary : Provides educational services to medical, nursing and pharmacy staff.
Responsible for providing all aspects of pharmaceutical care assuring a positive patient outcome. The Clinical Pharmacist- Specialist must be skilled in screening for all age / dosage / disease dependent variations and be alert for improper dosages, drug interactions, and play a major role in drug monitoring.
This person shall possess excellent communication skills and be an active participant with physicians, and fellow health care workers.
The clinical pharmacist -specialist shall possess exceptional clinical skills related to advanced medical practices and evidence based medicine.
Supervises the work of supportive personnel. Participates in the department's performance improvement activities. Reports to Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor and Pharmacy Manager.
Position Qualification : (Training, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities) PharmD required. Board Certification required.
Previous hospital experience required. Previous clinical experience in an acute setting required. Interpersonal and leadership skills required.
Good organizational skills preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft applications. Preceptorship responsibilities required. Required Licenses / Certifications : Current Florida Registered Pharmacist license required.
ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency training required. Board Certification required.
