Data Analyst / Programmer

JK Executive Strategies is proud to partner with an established manufacturing firm in search of a Data Analyst / Programmer to join its team! The Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
This position will work cross-departmentally to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets, and use tools such as Tableau to build and publish customized interactive reports, data visualizations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports; use graphs, info graphs and other methods to visualize data.
- Analyze and integrate complex data coming in from multiple disparate sources.
- Draw insight from data and have the ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings orally and in writing
- Filter and "clean" data by reviewing computer reports, exports, to locate and standardize data
- Ability to write queries in various platforms to retrieve required information
- Support departmental data retention policies and procedures to ensure data is managed in accordance with the company’s data security protocol
- Identify trends and performance metrics and distill those into dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, logistics or other process driven industry preferred
- Understanding of data models, data flows, data mining and manipulation
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaboration skills : work with senior management, operations, engineering, supply, sales, and finance teams
- Familiarity to work with SQL, NetSuite, Tableau
Salary Range
$70,000-$80,000
