JOB DESCRIPTION
- Identify IT objectives by studying business function, gathering user information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
- Interface with employees of all levels on software application issues, enhancements, and planning strategies.
- Leverage current software analysis methodologies to maximize the benefit of IT software investments across the business enterprise.
- Provide software application feedback to rd party consultants, Software Developers and Help Desk Technicians.
- Provide software analysis expertise with end users on software applications including but not limited to CRM, BI, ERP (Finance & Order Entry Systems) and the Corporate Web Sites.
- Collaborate with IT technicians to ensure users have the correct access to Test and Production systems as appropriate prior to the start of analysis sessions.
- Design and customize software application documentation as it pertains to end user specifications and new enhancements.
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to IT Software Developers.
- Document and socialize new software application features, key insights, and functionality as they become available. Attend & participate on EWL's behalf any rd Party Vendor Release Announcement and Planning meetings.
- Provide easy access to new & existing application specifications via electronically secure IT space.
- Provide refresher software analysis sessions with end users until all involved parties agree.
- Work with business partners to elicit requirements and capture business needs.
- Manage on-going relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction with IT.
- Engage with end users to incorporate usability and user interface needs when designing application systems.
- Communicate requirements and issues from end users to IT Software Developers or rd Party Vendors assigned to support new software features and functionality.
- Conduct independent research on software applications to become familiar with the end user experiences.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and year of Business Analysis experience or working in an IT Department for + years.
- Broad IT experience in the following areas including Applications Development, Project Management, Quality Assurance and Data Flow Architecture.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Problem solving temperament.
- Seasoned experience in generating process documentation.
- Demonstrated analytical skills including experience eliciting requirements and testing.
- Ability to conduct research into software application issues and products as required.
- Ability to communicate ideas, interface, and present IT subject matters in a user-friendly language across the company including Sr. Executive Teams.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed, with keen attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a quick-paced environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
