The Role

We are looking for a talented Security Engineer who enjoys security work and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the security space.

As a Security Engineer, you will work closely with our Engineering teams to ensure the safety and security of our software and data.

You will be a part of a company of super-achievers who work together to bring forth the evolution of entertainment. The ideal candidate has prior blockchain experience, excellent people skills, business acumen, and an exemplary work ethic.

We want someone with experience and passion for web3, cryptocurrency, and NFTs. We would love someone with a deep passion for games, strong product management skills, and an impressive track record for working in a fast-paced, evolving, creative-minded environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating to implement security best practices
• Training the Engineering team and infusing a security-first mentality
• Focusing on securing vulnerabilities and reducing the risk of system and / or asset compromises
• Participating in design discussions and performing code reviews
• Auditing code and infrastructure for security vulnerabilities
• Supporting day-to-day monitoring of logs and alerts from firewalls, log management, intrusion detection systems, content filtering controls, etc.
• Analyzing and developing information security governance, including organizational policies, procedures, standards, baselines and guidelines with respect to information security
• Formulating recommendations consistent with directives, policies, standards and regulations
• Reporting possible threats or software issues and finding cost-effective solutions to these problems

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as an application security engineer
• 2+ years working in an AWS environment
• Good understanding of current security technologies
• Experience with application security testing software like Burp Suite
• Good understanding of JavaScript and Node.js
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, stellar work ethic, fun collaborator
• Excited by problem-solving
• Fearless

Nice-to-Have Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge of security best practices in blockchain and cloud environments.
• Experience working with blockchain, NFT, and / or cryptocurrency technologies
• Passionate and driven to work in an innovative environment
