About The Position
Job Title : Radiologic Technologist Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Invasive Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Days, 6 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM, 4x10 Hour Shifts Guaranteed Hours : 40 Hours per Week Experience : Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience License : State License in Radiologic Technology Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS)- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)- ARRT Registration in Radiology Must-Have : Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology- Competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol- Advanced knowledge of EKG interpretation- Ability to recognize and assist in treatment of complications from procedures- Proficient in procedural setup and sterile techniques- Basic computer literacy Job Description : Assist cardiologists in performing invasive coronary, vascular, and electrophysiologic diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures.
- Set up and operate various electrical and imaging equipment and computers.- Display good judgment, problem-solving skills, and the ability to organize and prioritize based on procedural findings.
- Advocate for patient needs and provide care to meet those needs.- Provide technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques.
- Communicate and educate patients effectively during procedures to alleviate anxiety.- Collaborate with Research RN / Coordinator on laboratory-based research.
- Train and mentor team members, maintaining a standard of excellence and optimal patient outcomes.- Interact professionally with vendors to ensure patient safety with product and equipment use.
- Update knowledge and skills as new equipment is implemented.- Manage digital archiving systems and ensure safe storage and retrieval of patient images and reports.
- Maintain aseptic technique and assist in preparing sterile fields and instruments for procedures.- Interpret EKG results and alert physicians to any irregularities.
- Ensure radiation safety measures are followed during procedures.- Suggest equipment or procedural changes for improved patient care quality.
