Job Summary

Prepares, researches, and analyzes financial and utilization information to support the department.

Essential Functions

  • Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provides guidance on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity, which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Serves as a consultant to assigned areas of the organization to support the financial goals and objectives of Corewell Health.
  • Helps facilitate the process for the annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly projection for the system.
  • Maintains and assists other finance team members on the budget and management reporting software.
  • Assists on business issues including financial and profitability analysis. Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
  • Collaborates with assigned areas of the organization and / or senior level analysts or leadership to analyze financial data.

Qualifications

Required :

  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field
  • 3 years of relevant experience Finance, accounting or related work

Preferred :

  • Master's Degree Business or finance
  • Formal or informal leadership experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan
