Employment Specialist/ Job Coach
Job Description
Job Description
Empower Careers and Foster Inclusion : Become an Employment Specialist with MV Advancements!
For many adults who experience disabilities, the goal of having a job can sometimes seem unattainable. But it isn't! Employment Specialists are here to make the dream of having a fulfilling job a reality.
We actively support job seekers in discovering what they want in a job, work with them to build the skills needed to attain the job, and network with our employer partners to help them interview for and land the role.
Sometimes, this looks like breaking down barriers to employment, advocating for the people we support, and working through miscommunications.
Sometimes, this means celebrating big wins as job seekers find independence in their roles and no longer need us! We aim to work ourselves out of a job, one person at a time.
Do you love a job where you're always on the go and make a real difference in people's lives?
As an Employment Specialist, you'll be in constant motion, actively working side-by-side with adults experiencing disabilities who are eager to achieve their employment goals.
Forget the desk - this is a hands-on position where you'll spend most of your time active in the field, helping job seekers discover their potential, build vital skills, and connect with employers who believe in inclusive opportunities.
The challenge and perk of this position is its flexibility. You are an active participant in structuring your day to meet business, employer, and job seeker goals.
While documentation skills are still essential, on average, you will spend about an hour a day on administrative work and the rest of your time in the field with job seekers or actively nurturing employer relationships.
But why MV Advancements?
