KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Help clients analyze the tax implications of working internationally and filing income tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
  • Assist clients in operating their payrolls in the United States and around the world, including by preparing gross-up calculations, payroll withholding calculations, collecting compensation information, and calculating international assignment allowances
  • Process payroll for outbound assignees, those working in the United States and those working around the world, and process split payroll for assignees paid partially from the home country payroll and partially from the host country payroll
  • Provide global coordination with country specific third party payroll providers, including initial set up and ongoing management
  • Assist clients with implementing leading processes and technologies related to tax compliance and strategy
  • Provide KPMG resources to help clients understand and strategically respond to the Internal Revenue Service and other taxing authorities
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment

Qualifications :

  • A minimum of three years of public accounting and / or tax experience
  • Bachelor's degree, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, and / or Masters in Taxation (MST) from an accredited college / university
  • Ability to speak and write fluent Japanese and English is required
  • Knowledge of a broad range of tax and administrative issues impacting international assignees
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience mentoring team members

Any offered salary is determined based on relevant factors such as applicant's skills, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations.
