They can't help it. In fact, we're counting on it. That being said, here are some of the broad strokes of our Tax Manager position which will support the Strategic Industries - Tax & Transaction Services Service Line.
Responsibilities
- Lead and assist in the planning, management, and execution of tax compliance and advisory services for PYA's corporate clients, with a focus on partnerships and S-Corps with multi-jurisdiction complexities
- Plan, design, and execute tax projects and compliance initiatives across a variety of industries, working collaboratively with both PYA and client teams
- Be a trusted advisor and planner regarding taxation and work proactively with clients one on one to build client relationships
- Lead the activities of teams-including staff and senior accountants-with compiling & reviewing financial statements and preparing tax returns for small business owners
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax and accounting experience with a national public accounting and / or consulting firm
- CPA or EA license required
- Previous experience with business tax related to healthcare, non-profit, financial institutions, real estate and development, and manufacturing and wholesale distribution industries preferred
- Client-oriented work ethic, committed to high-quality results
- Creative problem solver with a high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills, critical thinking skills, and a passion for helping clients
