Senior Material Review Board Design / Liaison Engineer

Job Responsibilities :
- Material Review Board Design will document non-conformance tags for spacecraft structures
- Analyse variations to part print specifications which affect part form, fit, and function
- Evaluate and provide a course of action regarding the ultimate disposition of the parts
- Evaluates areas of non-conformance regarding defects arising during the manufacturing process and as compared to the product definition requirements as defined by the drawings
- Material Review Board Design will perform design engineering analysis of discrepant machined parts manufactured in an aerospace manufacturing facility
- For example, it may be used "as-is with no corrective action, reworked to a condition that is acceptable for use, repaired, or scrapped
- This analysis will include performing tolerance stacks, stress, metallurgical, aerodynamic, dynamic, NDT, and heat transfer analysis
Qualifications :
- Minimum of a Degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering
- years of experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle.
Desired :
- Previous experience with new aircraft or spacecraft fabrication
- Previous experience with aircraft MRO
