Job Summary :
This position will work closely with the Director of Maintenance to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our aircraft maintenance shop.
This role focuses on the logistical and business management aspects of the operation, complementing the technical expertise of the Director of Maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business operations, with a specific focus on logistics, inventory management, and process improvement within a technical environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operational Efficiency :
- Anticipate and schedule regular aircraft maintenance in coordination with the flight school to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage and improve existing systems to track maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and other critical data, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Utilize operational data to identify areas for process improvement, streamline workflows, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Inventory Management :
- Forecast part needs based on maintenance schedules and historical data, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure the availability of critical parts.
- Manage inventory levels to balance cost control with the need to maintain adequate stock for uninterrupted operations.
- Business Strategy and Development :
- Work with the Director of Maintenance to align operational strategies with the overall business goals of Texas Aircraft Maintenance and Thrust Flight.
- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion within the maintenance division.
- Implement best practices in business operations to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership :
- Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance to ensure that all aspects of aircraft maintenance are conducted efficiently and safely.
- Lead initiatives to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the maintenance team.
- Provide leadership and support to administrative staff involved in scheduling, inventory, and logistics.
