Position Summary

The Trauma Coordinator is an excellent opportunity for those seeking a meaningful and gratifying career in trauma care. As an RN at MultiCare, you will coordinate and collaborate to deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based quality rehabilitative trauma care and services, ensuring the best possible patient and family health care outcomes and experiences.

Responsibilities

• You will organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating on an ongoing bases
• You will engage your critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care, including knowledge and integration of relevant standards, resources, and data
• You will utilize the knowledge base of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols
• Collaborate with the nursing team to facilitate overall improvement in quality of care, patient experience, and cost reduction
• Foster a learning environment for patients / families, nursing staff, and members of the health care team
• Advocate for ethical and holistic care promoting the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Master’s in nursing preferred
• Washington State Registered Nurse license (RN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) Certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification or Emergency Nursing Pediatrics Course (ENPC) Certification
• Certification in one or more of the following : Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN), or a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
• Minimum five (5) years of professional / technical nursing experience required; preferably in an emergency or critical care nursing unit, with a minimum of six (6) months experience in trauma nursing
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.

The pay scale is $46.49 - $77.48 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to : skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and / or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
