We have an immediate opportunity for a Staff Accountant for our fast paced, deadline-driven Accounting Department!

The Staff Accountant will assist in the day-to-day accounting, Accounts Payable, monthly agent commission process, monthly reconciliations, month-end close, as well as other general accounting related activities.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Handle Accounts Payable-code & process invoices, mail out checks and maintain accounts payable files.
• Maintain central accounts payable e-mail account
• Reconcile and audit vendor statements. Follow up with vendors
• Assist processing monthly agent commissions. Print, sort, and process monthly commission statements.
• Support agent inquiries
• A / R for In-house Printing Dept
• Assist with month-end reporting
• Assist with maintenance of 1099's
• Assist with balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis
• Maintain and balance intercompany receivables / payable
• Data input of journal entries for month-end
• Assist with various ad hoc reporting
• Additional duties may be assigned based on capacity

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Seeking 1-3 years of Accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail is a must!
• High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to consistently produce accurate work and meet deadlines
• Prior accounts payable experience preferred
• Great organizational skills
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities
• Ability to work in a team setting as well as independent
