Are you passionate about dental care and looking to make a positive impact? Diamond Braces is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.

As a vital member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for a range of clinical procedures under the direct supervision of our attending doctor, making a positive impact on our patients’ oral health.

You will contribute directly to the seamless operations of our dental practice and ensure a high-level of patient care and customer service at all times.

This position is Full-Time and may require evening and weekend shifts. This position requires an individual to be available for an on-call schedule.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with clinical teams, office admin / management, and treatment coordinators to drive patient care and a high level of customer service at all time
  • Performs sterilization procedures following protocols set in accordance with established guidelines
  • Prepares dental equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established regulations and guidelines
  • Obtains diagnostic records ordered by a licensed dentist including intra-oral scans / photos and alginate impressions
  • Prepares tray set-ups for dental procedures
  • Provides patient care under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist
  • Creates entries in patients' medical records as directed by the treating dentist
  • Provides patient education including care instructions
  • Performs basic dental lab duties including the fabrication of Essix retainers
  • Prepares and documents lab cases ensuring timely delivery
  • Must complete assigned educational courses in a timely manner

Requirements

We have several options for our Dental Assistants in CT, as outlined below.

  • Dental Assistant
  • Certification strongly preferred or must become certified within first 6 months of employment
  • Preferred : Completion of DANB RHS exam
  • Must complete DANB ICE exam during first 12 months of employment
  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
  • CDA or COA certified
  • Foreign Dentist Dental Assistant
  • Graduated with a degree in Dentistry from a foreign university
  • Must become certified within first 6 months of employment
