Estimator

Description

Role :

The Estimator collaborates throughout the company to support the bidding process by our sales department by creating estimates and proposals for all our designs, projects, and services.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare written proposals
• Develop a detailed description of the project elements and services.
• Create estimates from 3D Design and or blueprints.
• Calculate exhibit element costs for materials, supplies, and man-hours / labor.
• Develop service costs per project, including shipping, installation, dismantling, and electrical.
• Create change order estimates.
• Vendors RFP's (request for proposals)
• Communicate with vendors to obtain costs for proposals.
• Proposal timeline and deadlines
• New materials and vendor research
• Continuously maintain and update the estimating and costs catalog through our internal database.
• Recommend the most cost-efficient materials and fabrication methods.
• Work directly with the sales team on estimates and proposal requirements.
• Create a bill of materials and vendor list for each estimate after the project is sold.
• Manage markups
• Maintain the internal estimating schedule for projects.
• Assist with material purchasing if required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Experience estimating custom design & fabrication projects
• CAD user is a plus.
• Strong computer skills.
• Understands methods of fabrication and man-hours required to build
• Excellent vendor relationships
• Able to read blueprints and 3D Design
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Advanced skills in blueprint reading.
• Teamwork
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
