About The Position
Job Title : Radiology / Mammography Technologist II Job Specialty : Radiology / Mammography Job Duration : 8 weeks with strong possibility of extension Shift : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience required.
Previous travel experience required. License : Current California Radiographic and Mammographic Technologist licensure Certifications : Graduate of an AMA approved mammography course Must-Have : 3D (tomo) training Job Description : Work under the supervision of a manager to perform all radiographic and mammographic studies.
- Produce radiographs, organize images, and complete necessary paperwork and charges.- Ensure patient safety and well-being during examinations.
- Assist and instruct patients during examinations and help with clerical duties and regulatory tasks related to mammography.
- Report equipment malfunctions and clean and inspect equipment prior to use.- Perform radiologic and mammography examinations following established protocols.
- Keep exam rooms neat and orderly and report equipment failures to a supervisor or director.- Process images, complete and organize paperwork, and perform required quality control as appropriate.
- Adjust mammography controls as needed prior to schedule start.- Produce high-quality mammography images for all patients, including those using wheelchairs or with implants.
- Confer with the radiologist throughout the shift for optimal viewing, imaging, and techniques.- Identify abnormal breast tissue and repeat exposure or include additional views if necessary.
- Confirm the location of prior examinations and contact previous facilities to secure previous mammograms for comparison.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Effort : Ability to assist in moving patients and capable of carrying a weight of thirty pounds a distance of fifty feet.
Languages : English proficiency is required (Speak, Read, Write).
