VCA Legion Road Animal Hospital is hiring a team-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

About Us

VCA Legion Road is a well-established Primary Care practice in Chapel Hill, NC with a stellar reputation within the community.

We have experienced veterinarians and staff who believe in a supportive and encouraging environment and continuous learning.

Our management team have been with the practice for over 10 years.

Along with preventative care, we also offer routine surgery, dental procedures, digital radiography, acupuncture, boarding, and grooming services.

We have relationships with board-certified specialists for ultrasonography and surgery and are able to offer these services within the clinic as well.

We are open Monday through Saturday 8am - 6pm, closed Sunday.

About the Role

With plans to grow in clientele and offered services, we are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant with a team-centric mindset that can contribute to our positive and supportive environment. Duties will include :

  • Compassionate patient care
  • Client education and care
  • Venipuncture and catheter placement
  • Radiology and diagnostics
  • Lab sample collection and processing
  • Surgical preparation and assisting
  • Anesthesia
  • Dentistry
  • Medication preparation and administration
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • Medical recordkeeping
