Role Overview
Our client seeks a Sr. Project Development Manager to spearhead projects on the western half of the U.S. during development, including through the management of project teams & working closely with internal & external stakeholders.
The Sr. Project Development Manager will focus on a range of areas, from design & engineering to due diligence to interconnection.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage project development through to construction start
- Attend meetings with relevant authorities & consultants
- Develop & track project budgets & schedules
- Assess development items for quality control
- Work cohesively with construction management & engineering
- Ensure all project financial goals are achieved
- Hire & oversee third party partners
- Lead meetings both internally & externally
- Review & approve invoices from external parties
- Support origination initiatives
- Lead bidding for partners & third parties
- Perform due diligence
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
- Experience in solar energy, construction or relevant industry
- Experience developing commercial & industrial renewable energy projects
- Located in Northern California is preferable
- Ability to multitask & work on many projects simultaneously
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Self-driven & highly motivated
- Ability to work well independently & on a team
- Exceptional understanding of solar contracts & project economics
- Project management experience
- Ability to travel as needed
