About The Position
Job Title : CT Technologist II Job Specialty : Radiologic Technology Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Wednesday / Thursday / Friday 12 PM - 12 AM (Mid Shift) - 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : - One year of full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional preferred.
License : - CT credentials required by the hiring department must be current upon hire or advancement. Certifications : - ARRT Certification - Basic Life Support (CPR) issued by the American Heart Association Must-Have : - Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic technology specialty as defined by the ARDMS, ARRT, and / or CCI.
- Associate degree or higher preferred. Job Description : Perform essential duties and responsibilities of a Level I position with intermediate-level professional knowledge.
- Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services in various care settings.
- Prepare patients for procedures and match clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members.
- Utilize highly specialized imaging equipment and techniques for a diverse range of diagnostic, interventional, and / or surgical procedures.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure all required elements are completed and documented, and that technical quality meets established protocols and standards.
- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems and prepare the study for physician reporting.- Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, and other maintenance tasks as per instructions and guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities.- Provide instruction, mentorship, and present in-service training pertinent to the assigned service area.
- Perform and assist with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as assigned.- Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrate core to intermediate-level knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, cardiovascular and / or radiologic technologies, and terminology.
- Prioritize and complete clinical or non-clinical tasks independently with limited supervision.
