Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist to join a leading manufacturing company based in Liverpool, NY.
This role is a direct hire opportunity within the Advanced Engineering Group, supporting an exciting new project.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute new quality processes for components.
- Establish supplier quality protocols to ensure compliance with manufacturing requirements.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve issues related to supplier quality.
- Conduct audits, analyze defect trends, and lead projects for continuous improvement, aiming to eliminate defects and improve supplier processes.
- Implement corrective action processes in response to product or customer complaints and identify root causes.
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role in supplier quality assurance.
- Familiarity with PPAP processes and SPC techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including experience with 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone analysis.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to visit supplier sites.
