Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Manager for a new opening with our client, a leading transportation company located in the Triad.

The Fleet Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance and repair of the company's fleet of trucks.

This role requires extensive knowledge of the trucking industry and excellent organizational skills. The Fleet Maintenance Manager will ensure that all vehicles are operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities :

Fleet Maintenance Management :

  • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program for the fleet.
  • Oversee and schedule routine maintenance and repairs for all trucks.
  • Manage and maintain maintenance records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date

Compliance and Safety :

  • Ensure all trucks meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate with safety personnel to address any issues or concerns.

Budget and Inventory Management :

  • Prepare and manage the fleet maintenance budget.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs.
  • Manage parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies.

Vendor and Supplier Management :

  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing for parts and services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and address any issues.

Problem Solving :

  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues.
  • Develop and implement solutions to improve fleet reliability and performance.

Qualifications :

  • Extensive knowledge of the trucking industry and vehicle maintenance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in fleet management software and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
