JOB OVERVIEW
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all staff and transportation providers meet the necessary qualifications and credentials to provide safe and reliable services to patients under the supervision of the Credentialing Manager.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the credentialing process, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and supporting the organization's commitment to patient safety and quality care.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
The typical working condition for this position is an indoor office, climate-controlled environment with controlled lighting and noise levels.
The job may require extended periods of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and / or lifting of at least 25 lbs. The use of a computer or other office equipment(s) is also a requirement.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review credentialing files and work with transportation providers to obtain missing, incomplete, and expiring items.
- Verifies provider documents and ensures that they meet contract requirements as well as scan and maintain documents in credentialing portal.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with Call the Car employees, transportation providers and other stakeholders.
- Ensures accurate and timely data input.
- Maintain consistent contact with transportation providers to ensure that expectations are clear, and requirements are completed in a timely manner.
- Make observations and recommendations for improvement to management.
- Maintains clear communication between Providers, Drivers, and CTC Management.
- Maintains 100% accuracy with all aspects of the position.
CORE COMPETENCIES
- 2+ years Customer Service experience preferred.
- HS Diploma required.
- Skilled using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook) and familiarity with various basic PC usage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team.
- Able to type at least 40 wpm.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Screening.
- Must pass government exclusion list at time of hire and monthly thereafter.
