Warehouse Worker - Part Time

Warehouse Position

Receives, sorts, prices and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. Prepares donated items, not suitable for display in store, to be processed through the salvage program which includes operating, inventorying, and maintaining textile bailer.

Responsibilities include :

• Receives, inspects and sorts donated items such as clothes, shoes, household items, bric-a-brac, etc. according to the category and condition.
• Selects items suitable for store display and distributes to appropriate area for further sorting and / or pricing; discards items in accordance with established procedures and continues processing discarded items through the salvage programs according to the policy.
• Operate textile bailer; maintain bailer in good working condition; keep inventory of items needed for bailer.
• Packs items in boxes and marks boxes; accordingly, assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage area.
• Prepares non-suitable clothes for the bailer.

Qualifications :

Education and Experience High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required, AND one year experience warehouse operations, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
