Data Engineer

TITLE : Data Engineer

LOCATION : Denver, CO (Hybrid)

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Effectively bring data from external environments into the internal environment
• Build clean datasets in SQL Server for further BI needs
• Will use ETL / ELT tools such as tray.io, PowerShell, SSIS, etc
• Use of automation tools as they meet business needs
• Will work with large datasets from many different tools

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering role (business intelligence, data science, data engineering, etc.)
• 3+ years of SQL Server database engineering experience
• Expert SQL and T-SQL query skills
• Advanced knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL / ELT processes
• Understanding of data stewardship
• Ability to validate logic with limited oversight and limited technical documentation
• PowerShell (nice to have)
• tray.io experience (nice to have)
• git repository for data analytics (nice to have)
• Python for data engineering (nice to have)
• Analytical and problems solving skills
• Ability to bridge the gap, speak both business and information technology languages
• Degree in an analytical field (finance, accounting, mathematics, computer science, economics) or equivalent
