The Manager of FP&A partners with the corporate accounting team and other departments to help drive the management of financial reporting, budgeting and analysis.
Please note, this role is hybrid and will work from our Boston office 3x per week.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation of accurate regional and sector monthly financial statements
- Provide account analysis and detailed backup on key line items for use in decision-making
- Coordinate with Assistant Controller on monthly book-close activities according to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain budgeting and forecasting reports. Drive the budgeting and forecasting process with corporate departments and group finance.
- Development of ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by senior management.
- Partner with business line finance to identify and implement enhancements to reporting and analysis.
- Coordinate financial data for quarterly board of directors meetings
- Support the Director of FP&A by proactively identifying trends, budget variances, and potential risks and opportunities in sectors, and propose solutions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to achieve business objectives
- Continuously look at opportunities to optimize processes and models used, to provide more timely and relevant insights.
- Manage, train and develop team members.
Qualifications
- Experience : 7+ years of experience. Prior Corporate FP&A experience is required , construction or a related field experience is a plus.
- Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- Additional Role Specific Skills : Strong excel skills a mustStrong analytical and organization skills with the ability to understand the demands of managing a growing business.
Other critical skills and competencies :
- Thorough knowledge of senior leadership and region legal trends / risk.
- Outstanding relationship-building skills.
- Ability to speak and write clearly in English to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to create a culture of inclusion and belonging by acting with courage, humility and curiosity; desire to learn about others and self-reflect.
- Ability to build team relationships, stay organized, handle various projects at one time, follow up and make accurate decisions.
